A Lookback: February 2012 Orlando Tech Meetup

It’s been a continually growing process and we couldn’t be more excited with where things have come so far. February was amazing for the Orlando Tech Meetup. Not only did we have three amazing companies demo their products but we were in a space that suited the event better than any we’ve been in yet. We’re keeping our finger’s crossed to be able to use it again! A massive thanks to everyone who came out and made it so much fun, and an extremely large Thank You to the companies who demo’d – Tawlk, CodeSchool and Innovative Data Solutions.

Some photo’s of the event.

A Lookback: December 2011 Orlando Tech Meetup

Huge thanks to everyone who made it out to our second ever Orlando Tech Meetup. Urban ReThink let us bombard their garage space and use the projector to host the demo’s. Jobzey, Movimark and Joystix Pro did incredible jobs showing their product and everyone had a great time participating in feedback.

More disruptive tech startups to come.

Introducing the Orlando Tech Meetup!

We’re definitely more than excited to be starting a demo-centric monthly meetup here in Central Florida to showcase the incredible people who are building incredible products in our city! We’ve got a pretty good idea as to how we’re hoping to make this thing work and would love to do it together. So, here we go..

What‘s the Orlando Tech Meetup?
Orlando Tech Meetup will meet once a month in various public places around Orlando. We’ll give 3-5 startups/individuals 3-5 minutes to demo their product. The presentees will then get 3-5 minutes of real-time feedback from the event attendees. No matter at what stage your product or idea is at, we welcome everyone to submit to present.

Who‘s the Orlando Tech Meetup?
You Are! But seriously. We’re starting this meetup because we want to create community around the technology that’s being but by us, the Central Floridians. The Orlando Tech Meetup is being organized by some tech entrepreneurs who want a place like this to exist. Kyle Steele who co-founded Gotootie, Orrett Davis who co-founded Dropost.it and Robb Schiller and Croy Bosch who are co-founders of Yorco. All Orlando based guys working on Orlando based Tech startups.

Why‘s the Orlando Tech Meetup?
This meetup is getting started out of a recognized need. We’re building tech products here in Orlando want just simply want a place we can get together, show these products and get some awesome feedback from our neighbors.  It’s really that simple.

And that’s about it. We’ll keep this site updated with information about our meetups and the people making it awesome!

Here are a few ways we’ll be getting information out over the coming months. Make sure to keep in touch.
